MoveOn Slams RFK Jr. for Begging for a Job From Donald Trump

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, MoveOn Political Action slammed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for pathetically begging Donald Trump to give him a White House job should Trump win in November. The Washington Post reports that during a meeting at the Republican National Convention, Trump and RFK Jr. discussed “possible jobs that Kennedy could be given in a second Trump administration, either at the Cabinet level or posts that do not require Senate confirmation.” They also discussed RFK Jr.’s dropping out to endorse Trump.

“RFK Jr. begging for a job from Trump is both pathetic and hardly surprising, given his campaign is in free fall after another month of dismal fundraising. Donald Trump and RFK Jr. have engaged in a yearslong anti-science, anti-abortion bromance, and it’s clear they’re working together to swing the election to Trump. Instead of begging Trump for a job or begging MAGA donors for more money, RFK Jr. needs to stand down from his reckless campaign to swing the election to Donald Trump,” said Britt Jacovich, MoveOn spokesperson.

Background

  • RFK Jr.‘s campaign is supported by Trump’s largest donor, in order to siphon support away from President Biden and hand the White House back to Trump.

  • Racist billionaire Timothy Mellon contributed $20 million to RFK Jr.’s Super PAC.

  • RFK Jr. is a dangerous conspiracy theorist who has supported a 15-week abortion ban and doesn’t believe we need any more gun safety measures to protect our communities.

  • RFK Jr. is running a failing campaign and needs to buy his way onto the ballot. He chose millionaire Nicole Shanahan as his VP, an anti-IVF conspiracy theorist who has donated millions to a Super PAC supporting Kennedy Jr.
