Weekly Spoiler Roundup: RFK Jr. and Cornel West Turn To Shady Tactics to Boost Flailing Presidential Campaigns

WASHINGTON, D.C. – As Vice President Kamala Harris builds momentum and Donald Trump continues his racist tirades, both Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West are resorting to desperate measures, teaming up with Republicans whose only stated goal is to elect Trump.

RFK Jr.’s campaign is flailing – turning to dirty tricks and relying on Republican help to stay afloat. Reporting from The Los Angeles Times earlier this week revealed how he has begged Donald Trump for a potential Cabinet position as a way out. Then, RFK Jr.’s Super PAC – funded by the same MAGA donors bankrolling Trump’s campaign – launched ads, inexplicably running only at D.C. and New York City bus stops.

Meanwhile, a new group with Trump and Republican ties is spending millions of dollars to spread lies about RFK Jr.’s anti-abortion record in order to swindle votes from Vice President Harris and help Trump. After forming in early July, SAG PAC has already dropped $2.2 million on digital ads and direct mailers on RFK Jr. Right now, the organization is running an ad on YouTube in five swing states backed by a six-figure ad buy. The ad makes misleading and flat-out false claims about RFK’s record on abortion. We all know that RFK Jr. supports an abortion ban, so we put together a video explaining just how backward his positions are.

Cornel West is also turning to desperate measures: In Michigan, West faces a complaint filed with the Michigan Board of State Canvassers. The complaint details widespread evidence of fraudulent and forged signatures and formally requests that the board do an official search for patterns indicating forgery in the petition sheets and signatures. There’s certainly more to uncover there.
