JILL STEIN ON CLIMATE
Jill Stein Is a Climate Hypocrite Who Cannot Be Trusted
Jill Stein’s hypocritical environmental rights record proves that she is a climate fraud who personally profits from Big Oil companies like ExxonMobil and Chevron. Just another reason Republicans are using her campaign as a means of helping Donald Trump and giving Big Oil the green light to continue destroying our environment.
Findings:
- Stein and her spouse’s mutual fund holdings represent investments in fossil fuels valued up to $937,775.
- According to data from the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, Stein and her spouse’s mutual fund holdings represent investments in “deforestation risk agricultural commodity producers/traders” valued between up to $1,318,955.
- In January 2024, Stein reported having between $250,001.00 and $500,000.00 invested in the Vanguard Total International Stock Index Fund VXUS which invests in TC Energy Corp, owner of the Keystone XL Pipeline. TLDR; Stein profits from the Keystone XL Pipeline she claims to oppose.
- Stein held a town hall for residents affected by the Norfolk Southern Train derailment in 2023, to drag on the Biden administration’s handling of the event. What Stein failed to mention was she would soon invest in the same index funds that retain holdings in Norfolk Southern.
- While Vice President Kamala Harris was helping pass the largest climate investment in in U.S. history, Stein was making false claims and attacks about the landmark legislation.
Background:
- In 2016, Stein’s vote tally was enough to make the difference in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, flipping the electoral college from Hillary Clinton to Donald Trump.
- Recent reports show how Republican operatives are propping up Stein’s campaign in key states across the country–Trump allies actually publicly stated they were plotting to spoil the election against President Biden by backing third-party candidates, including Jill Stein, Cornel West, and RFK Jr.
- Stein was supported by Russia in 2016, and Internet Research Agency, the firm run by a close ally of Putin, tweeted the phrase ‘Jill Stein’ over 1,000 times around the time of the election, and Stein touted their propaganda in return.
- Even Stein acknowledged that Trump needs a spoiler candidate: “Trump wants a 2016 rerun.”
- Donald Trump praised Stein at a rally in Pennsylvania: “Cornel West—he’s one of my favorite candidates. I like her also—Jill Stein. You know why? She takes 100% from them. He takes 100%. Kennedy—probably 50-50.”
